Has anyone painted a 355 or 360 rear challenge grill to match the cars body color (except black...). In my mind I am thinking it would look really cool, but I have never seen it or any pictures of it. If anyone has any pictures and would be kind enough to post them it would be much appreciated.

I've seen red and yellow grills... both looked great! Really great!

I have a Pozzi Blue 360 with a "painted to match" rear challenge grill. It looks great, maintaining the lines better than the stock black color would. You need to decided whether you want the grill to function (at least partially) as a styling statement (in which case black might be your choice) or whether you want only the functional improvements (in which case body color might win out).

Absolutely no disrespect intended toward those who have a black grill but installed it for heat extraction purposes only. My goal was to minimize the visual impact of having it on the car.

That's a great idea, and I'm surprised Ferrari doesn't offer the option.

Every time that I have seen this in either yellow or red, from a distance is looks like the grill is a different colour. Only up clse do you see that it's the same colour but with holes. I prefer black.

perhaps that is why Ferrari doesn't offer the option?

I still want to see some pics! Up close AND from a distance!

Some of the pics I saw didn't look bad, but if you go with painting it body color, why not stick with the standard rear panel?

I have a Challenge grill on my Blu Sera 355 and was thinking about painting it Fly Yellow for contrast.

Because the Challenge grill breathes and cools better for those of us who like to visit the track...

I have also seen 360's with colored matched chaenge grills. I have a black one on red. I did it for the cooling but i also like the contrast.

Of course. But if you want superior cooling, but like the *look* of the body-color rear panel, you do have the option of painting the Challenge grill.
