Hi: First post, a question...What is the ratio of the coilovers in the 550? i.e. how many turns of the lower spring mount equal 1" lowering?? My dealer's manual is incomplete!! I want to bring it down about 30mm ~1" or so, but want to do it right, so I won't have to rebalance/realign it. I have had lots of coilover cars, but haven't messed with any F-cars thus far. TIA
I asked a question a few months back about lowering 550's. Discussion got off on corner balancing etc. Can't remember if they discussed the proper amount of turns. Might search the archives for thread.
lower your chassis without messing up corner weight. Read my article on Lowering your Ferrari. You can do this in your garage, just note the ride height as you go. Yes, it is easier if you know the motion ratios, but you'll still double check the results, so no big deal. Remember, toe and camber (especially toe) must be reset when you're done. Rob, good stuff. Sfum: I will have to email you the scans, as when shrunk to 640*480 they are too small to read. Give me an email address --Dan
I'm no Ferrari owner. Does this mean that every Ferrari 348-355-550 comes stock with ride height adjustable suspension? Whoa, that is cool! You don't need any lowering springs to improve the looks!
