The 1984 512BBi that I am buying was loaded in an enclosed transporter today at 3:30PM in Los Angeles! It is scheduled to arrive in Seattle this Thursday and I am VERY excited to see it for the first time in person. I will have to wait until Friday evening to see it when I return from a business meeting in Reno..... I can't wait to get on that plane Friday afternoon!!

One question, will you get lowering springs to eliminate the wheel gap?

I want to leave it all stock and see how I do at the FCA National Meet judging in Monterey 2004..... then I'll think about lowering it. I already plan on ordering custom 18" splined Compomotive wheels for it soon.

Gary - was this a California certified car (B.A.R. Sticker)? If so, thank you for taking it out of state. It makes those remaining more valuable.

Good luck. A lot of resources here on F-Chat for Boxers.

Sorry Jim, it doesn't have a BAR sticker. The previous owner (in Nebraska) had Continental Auto Sports (Ferrari Dealer) in Chicago return the car completely to Euro specs. They installed brand new Euro headers and the complete Euro exhaust. The guy in California who sold it to me had been using dealer plates on it. Continental worked on the car exclusively from 1996-2002. During that time over $70K was spent on servicing,etc... The owner would have it shipped to Chicago at least once a year and told them to do whatever it needed. Price was no concern.

    Congratulations Gary!
I wish I could see the pictures you posted,
but I guess this new board has a bug... as all pics show up as a little pic icon that our Macs won't view.
I hope it gets fixed soon.... as I have a complete front end restoration pictorial that I was going to post.
At any rate, Good Luck with your new toy!
