I remember reading a post on another message board from a teenage member who was driving a Mercedes that he purchased himself by selling various items on eBay. He said he made 'XXX' dollars, etc. The amount of money, as well as the whole story, is quite irrelevant, however, because a later post by someone prompts this inquiry. The post said something to the effect of, "anyone can make $XXX a month, the trick is doing it consistently." Now the penny drops. Let's not focus on how one can make $10,000 a month for the rest of his life. What I want to know is, how would YOU, if you needed to, make $5- or $10,000 (nothing illegal of course). Let's make this little inquiry a even more interesting.

    A few scenarios:
    1) You have $100 and need to make $5,000 in two months or less.
    2) You have $1,000 and need to make $5,000 in two months or less.
    3) You have $5,000 a need to make $10,000 in two months or less.
    4) You have $10,000 and want to turn that into the biggest number possible in two months or less.

Pick a scenario and tell me what you would do. I think it would be interesting to see what ways people come up with to earn money.

Moneymakers are getting younger and younger.

Easy way: Take $100 to a Casino. Win Jackpot. Fiancee won $5K+ (total) last year on 4 jackpots in Palm Springs in 2 1/2 hours. Only reason we stayed that long was because that's how long it took us to get there that day.

Hard way: Paint. Some years ago, I earned $6K in 3 months doing stripping (no, no, no ya pervs!) & hand-brushed paint jobs in a couple of Writer/Directors/Producers homes. Part Time, as I was also working my regular job.

*Liquor stores: You'll need an unregistered firearm and a ski mask...

After you get out of jail, go back to the Casino or Paint, m'kay?

find a house that is for sale for 30% or so under market value. Put a contract on it to purchase it and use the $1500 as your earnest money and option fee and get the longest period the seller will allow to close the deal.......30 to 90 days max probably. Then re-market the house yourself in the paper or through a local real estate investor club. Market the house at the price you paid for it or a bit more. But also tell them their is an assignment fee of $6500 ($1500 you used plus the $5000 you need). Assign the new buyer your option to purchase. New buyer gets a house under market value that they can keep or flip for a quick buck and you get your cash.

You never have to actually buy the house. If you go to www.aireo.com which is a local Dallas investment club you will see under properties for sale that TONS of people sell their options and make thousands every time they do. Of course it takes some effort to find the deals, but that is why you get paid!

    Receiving cash boosts oxytocin levels.

Trust begets trust - and the hormone oxytocin, research reveals. The chemical messenger may help humans to bond, researchers told this week's Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

People's oxytocin levels rise when they receive a signal of trust, says Paul Zak from Claremont Graduate University in California. Those with the highest hormone levels are more likely to be generous in return and so are more trusting, he says.

Zak's team gave 19 people $10 apiece. Each person was invited to share their reward with an anonymous recipient. The recipients' money was then tripled and they were allowed to send a share back to the donors. The researchers found that 54% of recipients returned money to donors. Those who gave and returned most generously had the highest oxytocin levels.

Women in the study who were ovulating were less likely to be trusting, the team also found. This makes sense, says Zak. Females who could get pregnant need to protect their resources. And they need to be selective in their interpretation of social signals so as to choose the best mate, he reasons.

The study may also shed light on the causes of autism, says neuroscientist Richard Frackowiak from University College London: autistic people often trust too much. Oxytocin sends signals to cells in the amygdala - a brain region involved in emotion and social behaviour and implicated in autism.

Oxytocin prompts new mothers to release breast milk, strengthening the bond between mother and child. Touching boosts oxytocin levels in rats. The chemical also suppresses stress hormones.

    Lets see

    $100:
Go to Home Depot buy a squeegy, scruber, bucket, hourse hair brush, extention poll, get some old towels, and dish soap. Start washing windows. You can make anywere from $70 - $140 a house. When I needed to make some extra cash thats what I did. I even had a small route that I did. It takes some hustling to get the work, but the work is EASY! It take about 1,1/2-4 hours to clean a house. Depending on if you clean only the out side, or both in and out. Also the size of the house. Once I had a little route established, I made some easy cash. But like I said it takes work hustling the accounts. I worked about 8-10 hours a week, not counting driving time, and pulled in $1,200 a month. That was with only twleve stores hitting them twice a week. You wanna try and average your time so that you get about $35 an hour for your work.

    $1000:
Buy a used car, detail it inside and out, tune it up, mark it up, sell it. Repeat.

    $5,000:
Same thing as above but with dealer auction cars. Find some one with a dealers license and go to the dealer only auctions. DO NOT go to the public auctions. I repeat DO NOT go to the public auctions, only the dealer auctions. That is were you will get the deals that you can make money on.You want to make at the least 10% more than what you pay for the car. Try and pick what is popular.

    $10,000:
Buy a house, fix it up rent it out, or flip it for a profit. The fastest money you can make is on a brand new house. The trick is that you have to get in on the first phase. Each time a new phase is opened the prices go up. An ex-neighbor of mine does this. It takes 8-10 months for the house to be built. All you have to do is put down a depost holding the house. You don't make any mortgage payments until the house is finished being built. So you have that amount of time to find a buyer. Being that the market right now is freekin crazy, this is the time to do something like this. The catch is having the money to carry the mortgage if you don't find a buyer right away. Back to my ex-neighbor, this guy bought a house and even before it was finished being built he made $50,000, for doing jack squat. The last time I talked to him he was already on the fourth house after the one that I just mentioned.

Anyway hope this gives you some ideas.

Cars is a really good moneey Idea, but this time of year well atleast where I am its took cold to sell. Excellent time to buy but I gotta sit on the car till its warm to get the high $$ and then I run the risk of cutting myself to close on time to sell it and when I have to leave. But I have one car sitting already for some nice weather to hit. 88 Acura Legend 100K+ miles needs some cleaning and a tune up but I got the car for free so thats some money.

    More Ideas PLease.

Love the window washing idea. Also Im sure that gutter cleaning or something would work just as well.
