I plan to ship a car cross country from NJ, to Denver, Colorado. Can anyone rec. a reliable company? I was told "Dependable Auto Shipper" based in Linden, NJ... but after checking up with the BBB, I'm a bit unsure about them... please help :)

Well, in all seriousness, i would drive it for you. All it would cost you is a one-way ticket back to NY/NJ from Colorado and gas and toll fare... :)

Don't let DES drive it, then he would be too close to me. I used Horseless Carriage and was quite happy with them. There are some threads on this if you search, but no real definite winner. I will use Horseless Carriage again if needed.

Custom Car Carriage is based in Denver....

They delivered my Lotus from SanDiego to Denver for me. If I remember, it was about $900 door to door. One could eat of the floor inside their rigs.

Carbono, good buddy, please give me one good reason for you to return to your cave in Long Island. If you left now, ski season doesn't end until the brain fry day in April. From there, it's an easy jaunt to, say, SAN DIEGO... from there, maybe Maui? Or Bangkok... Or....

Thanks, BigDog... Seriously, though, if you (or anyone else for that matter) ever need something driven near or far or just require the services of a chauffeur (Ferrari or not), i'm your man... :)

In any case, maybe we'll have the pleasure of meeting at a future event... The party in Paramus was nice; i'm sure there will be plenty of other events, even before the "Ferrari season" starts...

Hey Carbono (sung to the tune of Hey Jude...) make it happen. Put on your Ferrari giveme cap from the New Orleans classic (which, BTW, I am led to believe are quite rare caps that are unavailable in the US. Hats off to you John and Franco and the rest of the New Orleans gang for making this happen <sic>). Put out your thumb and make a sign... Ferrari gigs only.

That's Doctor Tejas to you, Mr. Doody! :)

I have used Reliable to move a car from Carmel to Dallas. http://www.reliable-carriers.com/

I used Horseless Carriage to move from Florida to Dallas. They both were quite good.

Reliable mainly does commercial transport for the Manufactures moving spec cars etc.

How come when I think of DES driving a Ferrari across the country, I think of Dana Carvey driving the Saab in Richard Pryor's Movie, "Moving"?

I researched this heavily before having mine shipped. Intercity came out on top and they were awesome! It even arrived early and they were professional and a pleasure to deal with.
