I wanted to send out some sort of holiday greeting to everyone I know, but
it is so difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without
    offending someone.

I met with my attorney today, and on his advice (and after $299 in attorneys
fees) I wish to say the following:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, nonaddictive
gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within
the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or
secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular
persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice
religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar
year 2004, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not
to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is
the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the
race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual
    preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms: This greeting is
subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no
alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to
actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void
where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the
wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual
application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance
of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is
limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole
    discretion of the wisher...

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :)

P.S. I wish I had written it ! Steve J. on the FerrariList posted it, though I don't know if he wrote. If he did, I must acknowledge it and give credit to him. I don't want to get involved in a plagiarism suit! :)

I completely agree with Frank about the political correctness crap. And I did get a good laugh out of Skip's posting, which does however lack a few warnings about being cautious reading this, choking hazards from laughing and carpel tunnel (sp?) syndrome are missing. CU in court!

LOL! Yeah, like,"Nobody TOLD ME that the Holiday greeting was going to be offensive! I'm calling a Lawyer!" Wahhhh!!! Or,there's was a story on the news the other night, telling about someone (and I did say, some ONE) "being offended" about the Holiday decorations that were put up in a suburban Firehouse. And,that they had to remove them! What kind of Bullsh*t is that!!?? It's just too damn bad!! This country was founded on Democratic principles,(not party) and that means that "The Majority Rules" If 51% of the people like,or want something, then,so be it. And,likewise if they don't. And,I am sure that 51% of the people of that town did NOT care,or want the Holiday decorations being taken down. I cannot believe that our Judges and Legal system even permit that crap from occurring. What a waste of taxpayer dollars. They should make those assh*les pay it back. They HAVE to get back on track with the "Majority Rules" train of thought. I cannot believe that if just one person,or very small group of people don't like something, that they actually change it. All that they had to do in that case, was to have someone else sue to HAVE Holiday decorations at the Firehouse, then get more to agree. But,as usual, people like to complain alot, but, when it comes to actually speaking up about it,or doing something about it...No balls.

Speaking of founding fathers and 51% rules: Did you know, that at one point in time the US citizens had to vote whether English or German would be their general language? That was when German immigrants were so numerous, that German was spoken by about 48%. Not sure that was true for the entire country or just the Chicago area, but anyway.

Alles klar an der Bar, Herr Wiedmann?
