Ah, no one chose Ronin eh? I can't come up with a list right now cause I love movies and there are too many to think about right now. With that said, "Heat" is my all time favorite and "The Fugitive" has a really good chance of making my list as well. With that said, DES, you should be banned instantly. Without question you should have your rectum Timberland'd outa here with enough force to reposition your sphincter above your neck. "Driven"?? What heroin dealer did you rape and pillage shortly before watching that movie?? I don't care how hot the chics were in that film ... my local Blockbuster carries that film in the "Special Olympics of Movies" section, shared only by "Joe vs. the Volcano". Renny Harlin (the director of Driven) is on my personal movie black-list and someone in Hollywood should have had him neutered for insulting the movie industry in that way. The best part of that film was Gina Gershon, and they would have had to do the whole 3D i-Max thing with a nude lesbian scene starring her in order for me to even consider recommending that film to anyone I have known, do know, or ever will know, talk-to, email, IM, or pass on the street. Goddam I wanna slap you just for making me think about that pathetic attempt at entertaining someone. Bill in Brooklyn
Bill, you're being just a tad vague- please tell me how you REALLY feel... Seriously, i really liked the movie; i caught flack over the phone for choosing that movie and i knew i'd catch flack in the thread, too... Two things: One, i've always fantasized about driving a Formula 1 racecar; Two, you know that part where Stallone is driving and he's "in the zone" and everything in his peripheral blurs and he's just SO focused on racing and he's just so in the moment...? That's how i used to feel, when i used to go driving... i can really identify with that... Driven has been slaughtered on this board, over and over, but i liked it and that's what counts... Oh, by the way... Since you're repositioning my rectum, you might as well know that i've NEVER seen Gumball Rally...
On a serious note, if you're getting tunnell vision (losing your peripherals) while driving fast, you need to do something about that. I know what you mean by in the zone, but when I'm in the zone the entire world opens up in front of me and I can see everything clearer than I would normally ... tunnell vision is literally a killer. I'm primarily a motorcyclist and know well the effects of tunnell vision. Be careful. And for your information, "Driven" made "Gumbally Rally" seem like a multi-Oscar nominee. Bill in Brooklyn
No, no tunnel vision, just the concept of how it was portrayed in the movie... Always had great peripheral vision...
i think he's saying that, in his opinion, Driven was so bad it made Gumball Rally look like the movie of the decade...
...which i guess would then imply that, on its own, Gumball Rally wasn't such a good movie, which would be contrary to what i've heard... So yeah, now that i've thought about it, i'll second that: "Watchou talkin' 'bout, Willis...?!?"
"Gumball Rally" was excellent. And us car junkies feed off movies like that as if they were the nectar of life, but I think we're all aware that no one is about to nominate "Gumball Rally" for an Oscar ... no? Actually, forget it. The point was not to insult "Gumball", rather it was trying to imply that "Driven" was so bad, it has made Kevin Costner's works after "Robin Hood" look overly impressive. Bill in Brooklyn

Shame that Ol Sly has lost touch with what made him a success, after all the guy did win an Oscar for Rocky. He can be briliant but I wish he would go back and really write like his life depended on it again and stop making the same movie over and over just wishing
Jim, One of the reasons I like Copland so much is because SS plays such a terrific role. It's too bad that the vast majority of his movies make him out to be a dolt, when in truth, he's anything but.
