    I put 235/40's and 295/35's on Challenge rims. The Challenge rims are 1/2" wider. 8x18f 10.5x18r.

    You could easily put 225 and 285, even 295, on the stock rims. All of these sizes are available.

    Yes, hopefully without much deviating diameters, though. Otherwise, not too much benefit from wider tires.

    You're right, these would be smaller diameter. Front is 225/40 vs 215/45, and the rears are 285/30 or 295/30 vs 275/40. I've read there may be ABS issues with the lower profile/smaller diameter.
