the first customer F50 was Jean Blaton's . He sold it last year or 2 years ago i think ?

Its a Euro car. But i dont think it would command a premium...

The premium would be the cost of the import, DOT conversion.

That's right that the car was owned by the famous belgian Jean Blaton. I there's a pic of this car in the book about '50 years Garage Francorchamps'. The pic shows the car being handed over at the Fiorano track by Luca and Jacques Swaters to Jean Blaton , the F50 have #1 on the front of the car. It was a very special presentation and the first F50 was standing next to an 333SP and an F1.

Unique opportunity to buy this car.

Anyone knows who the 1st Enzo owns now?

unique opportunity indeed, for historical value at least if nothing else, i would love for one of the board members to have it, and in return all i want is a ride :D

(please dont mistake me for the dealer)

Is historical value lost by its conversioin to U.S. specs?

So, is there any reason why converted Euro cars generally trade less in the U.S. than those that started their lives as U.S. cars?

Maybe fear of a bad convertion job ...? That the car might not be USlegal if the dickheads at DOT/EPA come out with more stupidity..?

I also read that dealers are reluctant to touch euro cars ?

A salesperson at a dealership told me that they can be fickle about servicing Euro spec cars... implying they will "have to order parts from Europe" more frequently - which seems mostly out of spite for buying a gray market car. He said, "you should never, ever buy a Euro car..." which led me to think it was because it cuts into their business, as he followed it up by discussing the warranties on new US F-cars.

It would be a honour to be able to own the 1st F50 ever built!

I read Mike Tyson was the first person to receive an F50 in the United States. He bought it for $850,000.

and yes the first F50 customer was Jean Blaton.

Ferrar-For-Sale.com is definitely wrong on this one. The delivery of the 1st F50 in North America was to Paul Frame and it was done at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. I am sure there are some links available of the festivities. It was awesome. It led the parade on track of F50, retired F1 car, 333SP, Challenge cars and a whole host of Ferrari Club member cars. A real site to behold.

Paul seems to be taking a sabbatical from Ferrari. I am sure he will be back before long.

Yeah I remember now ...Paul Frame was the first F50 owner in the States. He had a yellow one and he sold not too long ago. (His car was on ebay)
