According to Ferrari's financial report: USA is first then Germany. Italy is way down the list due to high taxes imposed on size of engines

USA and then Germany makes sense.

I would guess Japan and Switzerland are close thereafter.

Never thought of Italy as an important Ferrari owners country.

Absolute numbers probably as you say US then Germany.

Percentage wise, # Ferraris/country population that will be different, then Switzeland, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino will be ahead.

Well, the US has most Ferrari's and close after Germany. But if we take most Ferrari's per citizens in the country, then Monaco is clearly a winner, with Germany coming in second place and Italy on third. The US would be 4th after my guess, and Japan 5th. The rest is beyond my knowledge :D

    I think :

    1. USA (sure)
    2. Germany
    3. Switzerland

But, in number of Ferraris per person, Switzerland is in first place !

I would use the 50/50 rule. Most industries sell 50% of their production to the USA and 50% to the "rest of the world".

This thread just reminded me of a funny story when I visited the factory earlier this year:

Naturally I hade made my arrangements through FNA. As we arrived at the Pearly gates, a Ferrari club of Europe was there as well with many of its owners/guests. Turns out they had an invitation for the same time slot, but the factory offered only so many 'seats'. Well, I wasn't overly concerned. The organizer of the European club tried to push his way past us and tell the Ferrari people how important he and his friends were and that they should send us home. The Ferrari folks only said: "Sire, they're guests of Ferrari North America." That shut him up for good.
    :)

Later on he weaseled to me trying to apologize. I felt like throwing him under a metal press...

Well if the question were about which country is most important for Ferrari bussines, that is clear, USA. And that perfetly shows in your acnedote Tifosi12.

Now, if the question was made with a different intention, like to find out were will be easier to spot more Ferraris, that will be different. At the end we won't know what this question was posted unless his author clarifies it to us.

Provide information is always good. But if we start turning this into who is best based on the ego of patriotism and the number of Ferraris sold in a any specific place, then I am in the wrong thread.

    - Julio.

I read somewhere: "Of the 212 million registered vehicles on U.S. roads. Only about 18,000 are Ferraris."

Monaco over the F1 weekend. At least one Ferrari in every single street.

During regular days IMHO: Beverly Hills. At least one Ferrari every hour.

I lived in Irvine, Orange County for 3 years, and I've been in Beberly Hills quite some times but only seen a couple Ferraris there. I have seen more in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Irvine that in LA.

I never counted the spots, but if you think about the concentration of Ferrari Mechanics and Dealers in Southern California, certaily that is one of the highest Ferrari concentration areas.

I have to go, New Years Eve dinner is about to start here, I have to get ready.

    Happy New Year!!!

Note to myself: Have to visit Irvine on my next CA trip.

Actually had that in mind a while ago. After all you guys got the Saleem, so why even watch for Ferraris?

What would be interesting to know is which country has the most Ferrari per capita or per square mile........
20000 or so in the US isn't that much.
I think Switzerland would be then at the top.
    Any comments

The the next question is: which US city has the most F-cars. LA vs. Miami vs. NY

I have been told Michigan has approximately 500 registered Ferrari's.
Lets see if we can come up with 18,000 in USA.
