Is anyone going to the 'un-official' Crystal Cove Promenade drive on New Year's Day morning?

While at CCP a couple of weeks ago, I was handed a flyer about this drive.

    When: January 1, 2004
Time: Maps will be handed out at 9:00 am ... depart at 9:15 am
Where to: Drive the streets of the Orange County Coastal Mountains.
    Duration: About 2 hours

Does anyone else have more information about this drive? If it is still on, I'm going to attend, weather permitting.

Sounds like fun ... what better way to start the year off!

    Hey Cannoli,

If it's a go... I'd be interested in joining you. I'm in Oceanside myself and could use a good excuse to leave the wife home and avoid the honey-do stuff...

    Let me know

    9:15 Depart

We will arrive at our destination around lunchtime so

I have no confirmation that this is still on, but what the heck, I'll still head out to CC and enjoy the coastline drive, have an espresso and just enjoy the morning.

Get to the 405 South and head down about 35 miles. Exit on Jamboree Road (its just past Orange County/John Wayne Airport) and head right. Head down Jamboree for about 8 miles until you get to PCH. Make a left on PCH and Crystal Cove will be about 5 miles down on your left hand side. Cant miss it! Just follow the classic cars around you :) Id try and get to the show around 7am.

This is the first 'un-organized' rally from CC that I'm aware of. Now, on the other hand, FDC does 'organized' rallies.

JDB, your Spider looked great ... I just love that color! Going through the canyon roads, I had great enjoyment listening to your engine scream - you shifted gears sharply ... nice job.
