Sweet ride Roland! Had the pleasure of seeing her go at Second Creek last year. Sorry for drooling on your baby! Anyway, I have the #45 FORZA, and was wondering if the donor car was LM spec, and/or the engine sourced for the project. The article states that it was not one of the original 19? Have some pics around somewhere of your car at 2nd Creek, I'll try to find them.. Regards, Craig 90SE
Hi Craig, The donor for my LM was a regular street F40. Like most LM build after the 13 originals, the donor is always a stock car. In fact the original LM came from Ferrari has unfinished street car to be modified by Michelletto. Since my car was a naked chassis, based on the blue prints, we did a LM with some newer update. The rest is the story that you have in Forza #45. take care, Roland
Here's a photo of Roland's car when we took off the intercoolers, turbos, waste gate, and exhaust pipes. Basically, I posted this photo to show Roland's initial comment about the bar from the strut/ shock towers being straight on an LM because the engine/transmission assembly are about 2" lower on an LM. An F40 with body work would most be obvious if you see the engine bay. Kenneth
Hmm thats weird! But atleast I have another account for backup. Try this: [email protected] Roland , I've seen your F40 before but I didn't know this one was yours. I like it!! You're not obligated to send me the pics by e-mail if you don't want to .. DES helped with the pics he posted
yeah problem might have been that I didn't resize the file. take 2. I have probably a hundred photos of what we've done to the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just takes time to resize. This is the baby all back together. Roland, hope you don't mind. Kenneth Image Unavailable, Please Login
Considering what your "starting point" was, it's just unbelievable what you accomplished. Truly insane. Congratulations! Joe

Hah!! You know, I shot a short video clip of driving behind Roland's car through a tunnel out here in SoCal from that drive...Sounded AWESOME! Although he didn't rev it up
Hi Joe and John, Kenneth is like the cavalery, he shows in time to bail me out. I really have no knowledge on computer, so I'll let him take care of the pics. The guy lived in my shop for so long working on the LM, that he should be an expert by now..He can't drive for s...t , but he is good in all the rest..( just joking). I didn't see the #19 for a long while, but that car doesn't look the one I drove back in 99. Only the rear schocks could tell. You guys be good. Roland
Hi John, I'm to tired after all the PC work done today...I'll send you pics by e-mail in the morning. Thanks for your patiente Roland
Roland, If you happen to have any performance specs on the car I'd like to compare them to a stock F40 (0-60, top speed etc).
Salut Roland, Great pictures of the LM. Too bad there is no sound. This car is totally amazing. The ride I got in it @ PPIR was insane. Incredible, no real word to describe it. T'as vue je ne suis que gentil aujourd'hui!! A+ la Belgique!! Michel
Howdy Matt, Sorry but I have no numbers that are other than what we have from our scales. Weight is 2635 with me in the car. We we estimate the HP around the 650 after reducing the waste gate. I want to have a drivable car, sort of a combination road/track. So far no one ever bother me on any tracks....Maybe my 35 years of pro racing is for some help..I might even have to big turbos for my purpose. Take care, Roland
kenneth, think it may be #19 but not sure. the pic i posted was taken at at FNA, englewood cliffs in I believe 93. There were two F40 Lm`s there at the time and one of the two had the lateral suspension. best regards, Jim
Pictures from Roland's garage... If you can call it that... It's more like a dream come true...! 1 of 5...
5 - Roland, keep 'em coming, i'll post as many as you send me... They're awesome photographs of a place all of us would love to be... Thanks for sharing, these are truly part of an intimate portrait of a true racecar driver...
