355 - Motronic 2.7 or 5.2 - how can you tell ?

    Is there a quick of knowing whether your 355 is using Motronic 2.7 or 5.2 ?

    The 2.7 came on the 1995 355s and had DUAL Mass Air Flow Sensors. The 1996+ has a single Mass Air Flow Sensor.

    Yes, dual air intakes merging into one MAF (hot film, as opposed to hot wire on 2.7).

    Visualy you can tell by looking at the engine bay. If you see the airflow tubbing come straight down from each cilinder bank to their own airbox on either side then it is the 2.7 . If the tubbing comes together in the middle into one air bos then it is the 5.2
