This house is about 15 minutes away from mine... 1 of 5...
John, not that i know of... i've seen a few houses like this in my lifetime... As a child, when i lived in the Bronx, there was one house on Pelham Parkway (for any NYC borough natives) that was decorated similar to this... Someone started a tradition of throwing money over the fence (the joke was that the money was to help pay their electric bill)... Every year, i went there and every year they had A LOT of decorations... It's cool to see people really get into it like that... (So what if the sheer brightness of it keeps the neighbors awake...)
When i lived in Albuquerque NM there was a couple of houses that would try to out do each other for christmas. It got so bad that people would go to see the houses that i caused traffic nightmares, so bad that the city told them to cool it.
Reminds of Chevy Chase's house in "Christmas Vacation" - when he finally gets the lights on, he blinds the neighbours, blacks out a section of the city and the utility company has to go to nuclear backup to compensate for the power drain! But as for the real-life house pictured below, some people may have too much time on their hands.
You could always be the real mean neighbor who takes two bulbs out of the strand of lights. You would have the guy tracing wires for weeks!
Man what a monstrosity. Next year I am having pole dancers on my lawn wearing mrs claus hats. poles will be painted like candy canes, and their boobs will ight up.
What? You forgot Florence Henderson in nipple-tassles and the Boa Constrictor wearing midget! I'm sorry but Larry Flynt still gets my RSVP. DL
