    Will a 328 or 348 wheel fit on a 1979 308 GTS? If not, can it be modified reasonably to do so? Thanks

    All have the same 67 mm diameter hub and 5 x 108 mm bolt circle, but some fiddling is required. Short answers:

    328 non-abs wheels on a 308 -- needs special front grease caps or some machining of front wheels to clear existing grease caps. Rears are OK as-is.

    328 abs wheels on a 308 -- needs spacers + longer lug bolts (or adapters) both front and rear (check sponsor's Hill Engineering site for examples)

    348 wheels on a 308 -- needs spacers + longer lug bolts (or adapters) both front and rear

    Do searches here and at the old FChat site on "308 wheels", "328 wheels", "348 wheels", etc....

    Thanks, do you happen to know the stock offset (positive or negative)on a 1979 308 GTS?

    The stock wheel offset on all the 308s is approx +11mm (both front and rear).

    Should have also added that if the 348 wheels are wider than the 308/328 family (e.g., 8" front and 9" rear) that that might require moving them some in the outboard direction to clear the suspension/springs -- but no direct experience for me with that.
