I just bought a new 360 and I need help getting insured. Farmers wants $4500 a year with a $2500 ded. and 6K miles limit. Is that a okay deal? I am 26 with 2 points (speeding) on my record and have my house and other car with farmers. Anyone help would be great.

Wow! I'm not in the insurance business, but that seems ridiculous to me. I have a 360F1, married, two kids, no points and 843/year with 1000 deductible. State Farm. I have four other cars, home, business, plup, motorcycle and retirement plan policy with them. I would look around. LOL

If it's not your primary car then you should be able to get a break. Insurance is really expensive for young people. I have a friend with three pretty high end cars paying I think around $10,000 a year.

Paying $4500 for a second car just seems like too much money. How about different companies?

In my experience, none of the companies gave a d@mn about my driving record, although they all paid lip service to it.

It all came down to my credit score.

Did you try the companies that specialize in exotics such as Haverty's or Chubb?

You might want to give HAGERTY a try also.

Points come off your license in 18 months from the time of the offense. Or take a drivers course and get them taken off.

Depending on what state you live in will determine the time frame of the points falling off your record. In California it takes 3 years for a monir violation to fall off one's driving record.

As a licensed Insurance Agent, I have a few clients who have "special" cars. Old American Iron muscle cars, and a client who has a Mondial Cabriolet who only drives the car very rarely. They all have Hagerty as the premium is very competitive and the useage is very low. Now if you drive the car on a regular basis (daily driver) you should just shop around for a reputable company.

    Good Luck

FORGET Hagerty - if your record is not spotless, they will not do business with you.
