I had an opportunity to see one on the track at Summit Point WVA. a few years ago. Took about 4 laps to get it warmed up, after that it sang like nothing I've ever heard before. Truly an impressive car in it's element.

    This is 35529, a 1981 512 BB/LM, Speciale Pininfarina streamline body.

The car raced in 1981 at 1000km Monza and placed 15th.

June 1981 it raced at 24 Hours Le Mans; entered by Scuderia Supercar Bellancauto. It finished 33rd; DNF lap 118 for electrics. Entered in IMSA GTX class.

June 28, 1981 placed 6th in the Enna Pergusa 6 Hours Mosport 1000km.

May 6, 1984 Imola 1000km, entered by Scuderia Bellancauto. DNF lap 91 engine.

June 16, 1984 DNF 24 Hours Le Mans. Race number #27. Entered by "Supercar Bellancauto", driven by Micangeli/Marazzi/Lacaud; IMSA GTX Class. It finished 49th, out on lap 65; gearbox. This was the only Ferrari entered in 1984 Le Mans. THIS IS THE CAR IN THE PICTURE WHICH BEGAN THIS THREAD. I have attached a photo of the car during Le Mans practice.

In 1991 the car became an exhibit at the Maranello Rosso Museum which is owned by Fabrizio Violati. You can see the car and museum at

Its probably just me, but can anyone else see the striking resemblance to the 360? (Headlights, side & rear quarter windows) Moreso like the 360 Challenge because of that wing on the back...

Not so sure about the 360 comparo, but, to me, it looks NOTHING like a Boxer. Except for some of the rear shots in one of the links above. To me, it resembles (gasp!!) a 911.

    Kool!
Probably The Most Unferrari looking Ferrari that Ferrari has ever Built!

The original side rear window is there, however the extension (a la 911) appears to be solid black Metal.
