Not to worry, it'll be on Ebay in about a month as a 'fixer upper'.

That's what you get for putting the wrong badges on.

Seriously though, its a wonderous miracle that the cockpit was undamaged. 6-12 inches to the right and the occupants would have been toast. Someone should be going to church this week to say thank you.

Jim - "our mechanic confirms this is totally fixable. Everything from the dash cluster to the wheel is perfectly fine. Frame damage is minimal. Please, no false bidding. Full payment due 48hrs after auction end."

That's just plain stupid. The guy should be counting his blessings that the train only caught the half behind his seat. I imagine the driver was probably not seriously injured, probably more dazed and distraught.

    I used to repair trains.

    They are VERY HEAVY.

    Don't mess with trains.

    Sincerely,

    Speedy308

PS. Dam*, Skizo, where was this? Those folks are VERY fortunate, judging from the looks of the remains.

A train made me even later than usual for work this morning. How's GATX stock today, anyway?? My initials are still out there, rollin' along.......

I notice the train cleverly avoided wiping out the Scuderia Shields.

Rob: are we allowed to call thie driver of this exFerrari a moron (for putting it in a position where a train could rip it in half?)

Yeah - check the front of the lower door where the strakes start - I thought that was just dents at first - until I spotted the flat headrests of the 348 and the narrower 3-spoke steering wheel w/o the fat 355 airbag center.

I'm surprised the car didn't explode in a big ball of fire. Where are the fuel tanks located in that model?

Its definitely a 348, look at the rear bumper behind the guy on the left.

Moment of silence for a fallen Fcar.

I've heard that 348's needed an 'engine-out service,' but that's a bit more than expected!

But think of the labor saved by using a train to remove the engine!

First for the record this was my car ,it did not get hit by a train crossing is about five hundred feet away and it happen five years ago. This is what happens when your cut off and forced onto the curb and swiped a telephone pole. The pole caught the rear wheel and ripped the rear half of the car off .it happed so fast I had no time to brake.
Yes we did go to church to give thanks yes my daughter was in the car with me,(seatbelts really do save lives).
The car was totaled,it was a 1992 348TB I had just mounted the 355 weels on that morning.I did replace it with another 348.The person who purchased
the car fron the insurace sold it for parts so you will never see it on ebay.
