    I wonder if they will make as few as the 993 Turbo S and whether it will be as collectible. That 993 Turbo S was a pretty nice car.

    It's almost like this 996 Turbo S is going to be like a GT2 with AWD. Certainly GT2-like performance figures and engine ratings.

    EOS is correct. X-50 / 450bhp

    Are they just going to make a dressed up special ? They sure will be able
    to charge a ton, for a few extra parts and emblems.

    I think it's going to be about $135K for the coupe. As a dubious bonus, it will come with the ceramic brake package standard.

    Considering it's associated with the outgoing model, and knowing that Porsche will churn out as many as possible, I don't think it will have any lasting value. Certainly, there are already way too many 996TTs on the road!

    Still, I doubt you'll be able to get one of these below MSRP so get ready for a $30K-$40K haircut the first year!

    Buy a used GT2......it's more car.......or like someone else said.....an X50 Turbo.
