This is a pointless thread but I just this was kinda cool. It's in Scary Movie 3 when there driving around throwing paint at people and there talking to each other and for like half a second you can see the distinct lines of a 348. So I paused it and went frame by frame over that part again and sure enough tehre was a red 348 in the background for less than a second.
Since you mentioned Ferrari in a movie, I beleive the yellow 355 Nick Cage drove in "THE ROCK" was a kit car when they wrecked it.
I believe Nicholas Cage is a Exotic car guy...i remember an ad for him selling a 2001 Diablo 6.0 in DuPont Registry.
Beverly Hills Cop 2 is on TV right now... there's the opening sequence where Eddie Murphy goes to work in his 308. Sure enough, like in Bruckheimer's other Ferrari scene (Bad Boys 2), in most of the shots it's a 308, but in a few of the shots where he's pulling in to places it's a 328.
Isnt there a red 355 spider in "Freddy got Fingered"? Im sad to say that yes I have seen the movie and I wasnt really payin attention when...but....Im pretty sure i saw one.
There is a 308 vs 911 chase in a movie called "Red Line". With Chad McQueen? Who the hell is Chad McQueen?
I have this DVD called RPM with David Arquette. In the movie theres this scene with a Diablo, a F40 and something that use to be a C5 vette but tried to make look like some high tech super car are racing around a track. God awful movie with one scene where a F40 saves it. The only time I would suggest watching this movie is when your really drunk or high or something because the acting is so horrible and if your f*&$ed up it is decently funny.
Anyone else seen that movie where a Countach and a F40 race around and finnaly stop and the guys shoot at each other.
cant say that i have, o man the scene when the girl gets out of the pool in fast times at ridgemont high was just on. sooooo good
Ya!!!!!!! they are kit cars in the desert!!!!! hahaha what a great movie, i have it somewhere i bought it because i heard about it lol ill get the name! -jt
Ha! Are you serious. Another thing about Bad Boys 2 is that I think it was a 355 noise they used for the 550 and the 575. Triple threat!
I ´have that movie. It is with Dolph Lundgren and has several F40 and Countach's in it. One Diablo also. But they are all replicas when being driven and deastroyd. Only when standing still they are real. The film is called "Joshua Tree" if anyone wants to know.
Cage does like cars. He actually bought a Miura SVJ, Engine #30685, at auction for well over its estimated price. He paid $490,000 in 1997, and sold it this January with 4,800km on the dial.
what about the really old ferrari in ferris bueller's day off, that was a beautiful car, what kind was it again?
i have ferris bueller on dvd and listening to the commentary the director said that they did actually use a real 250 gt for the first scene in the garage and close ups but replicas for every thing else
It's chasis 4934, ex-Shah of Iran. I have no word on price. The new sale is mostly rumor, but a number of sources are stating it as fact. http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/News/SVJ4934toUK.html
Funny you should ask... Chad McQueen is Steve's son - and he's on Speed as I type this being interviewed as he's a driver of a GT3 RS in the Rolex Grand Am series. He was being asked about acting and racing and said, "well, actually I've been racing a lot longer than I've been acting..."
Nick Cage owned a F40 and a Diablo SE. He also owned a very nice Lamborghini Espada that is now owned by the Aero Toy Store. At a private track event some years ago, he spun out the f40 sending him into a sand dune off the track, creating minor damage to the car BUT filling the car with sand!! He also had a Orange Miura SV -jt
