This is actually good news. Even a glimpse of competition is good, even if Scuderia finishes 1-2. At least people, meaning most of the world, will tune in, and this will prevent the socialists in F1 from ruining the game. Forza, Cavallini
I don't know if you can really , succinctly take the times for what they are b/c 1. the michelins are really, really good from the get go--single hot laps are really quick, and nearly all the michelin shod cars get front running times @ the opening of a stint, 2. everyone is running fuel cells of differing sizes -- the only team we know runs a huge tank, every time, is mclaren (DC and KIMI nearly always run a 2 stop @ every race.) Anyway, the time today could be a product of a superior michelin compound, getting up to temp very quickly; the renaults and BARs could be light on fuel, but you don't really know b/c their tire compound is niche specific to the new qual format. (Remember how MS would get quicker lap after lap w/ the old qual format? it was the nature of the tire cmpd.) We'll see what happens @ T1 as the renault always gets a great jump off the line, and while there's the buffer of kimi , DC and rubens b/w micheal and JPM, it wouldn't suprise be to see someone ride up on someone else on the opening lap--it's nearly inevitable.
I agree with you ... but come on what are you doing on the INTERNET before seeing your tape?? If you really want to be sure you don't go surfing the internet do you, mate . Anyway you are right just making a point ... and since you have time to surf the net, I cannot understand why you are not using your free time to watch the qualifying ... maybe you are at work? Pete
