I'm afraid I really dont know the exact answer to that Hubert. However, I don't THINK they do cause I spoke to a lot of people before putting them on and they never mentioned anything of the sort.

Hubert they do not put more stress on anything if anything they minimize heat because yourcats hold in a lot of heat. They are much lighter then your cats. the throtle response is better. It wakes the car up. gives a little more punch.and the car sounds incredible. Just dont think about it just do it your car will thank you.

down side will not pass inspection a least mine wont because they are straight. might be to loud for the common folk but hopefully not you. Check engine light could come on but it wontmess up the engine performance it just means that it is looking for your cats and the light will stay on unless you clear the code but even then its not gaurentedthat it wont come back. The last thing to say is the straight pipes I have on mine are not legal maby if you are so concerned with the pipes you should lean towards the scilenced pipes I dont know if they are legal but I do know that Tubi USa said that they can not get these straight pipes anymore because to many people were complaining about the check engine light so they did not want to be bothered with them anymore so i had to go through TUBi italy to get them.

hope this helps but like i said maby you should go with the scilenced test pipes I do know they are more money and the install I quoted you about 300 was for my friend not the dealer so be prepared to hear a higher price

good luck and hope to hear that thing scream with joy the next time we meet

I will be EXTREMELY surpised if a straight pipe can legally pass emission test.
If the shop will cheat the system for you then of course it's a different story. but in that case i really don't think they appreciate it being discussed on internet :)

Exactly, I would suggest no one say that the shop or person ever said anything about taking care of a State Inspection!!!
It would be the end of the Station, Inspector, and possibly jail time...

no...it was just an open air flatbed. no need for 'covered' except in snow or rain.

Just talked to Mayur from Classic Coach and I asked him about the test pipes and stuff. He told me that it probably wont pass emissions testing. However, he did suggest another thing. He told me to change the pipes that connect my tubi with the exhaust or something. He will give me a price estimate. This will result in an increase in noise, which is what I want. No catalytic converters will be removed and should pass inspection. Has anyone heard about this or know what he is talking about? I mechanically challenged so some enlightenment would be appreciated :)

???????????????? that is very strange but the only thing that ca be disconnected would be the tail pipes you see you hate the cats which are thouse big good for nothing brass look alike granades. those connect to your tubi muffler so there is nothing else between that so then there are your tail pipes and that is connected to the muffler so if you remove the tail pipes and I dont know if he is saying that he has a different pair or brand or what but I cant see how the tailpipes will give you mre sound??????? Hope that helps but it most likely did not sorry. I think you shoul say F**** the emissions once a year and get the straight pipes anyway just once a year pay my mechanic 300 to take them off for a few days and then put them back on for another 300 it's worth it a year is along time guys. or maby I can talk to him and he can do the job for less.
