Squideria Calamari are hosting the third Indoor Karting event taking place this Thursday May 27 (7:00PM) at the outstanding Indoor Karting facility, Speed Indoor Racing (http://www.speedindoorracing.com) in Ft. Lauderdale. Speed Indoor Racing is easy to find, right off of I-95, exit Commerical Boulevard head west to Power Line Road, turn right and its on the right half a click. Everyone is invited to take part in Squideria Calamari events. There are no dues, no affiliations and no political nonsense commonly associated with motoring clubs, just come out and have fun with the Squids! Speed Indoor Karting provides helmets and neck braces but we recommend long sleeve shirts or driving suits for safety. Hope to see you there! Squideristi.
rumor has it that some of the 6speed.net (?) guys with their P-cars will be there this Thursday, as well as, some of the NSX Prime people http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33484 .. Should be packed with some nice cars..
I'll be out there with my NSX, as well as my Detail rig doing a "demo". Should be a lot of fun~! How bout a little NSXPrime vs. Ferrarichat racing? hehe
Geez, glad that I got in before that policy was developed. I mean, homage, to Martin?? That could get UGLY fast. BTW, the "event" was great. Good people, fast carts (unless, of course, I was doing the driving.) Really nice facility. The parking lot however, well lets just say that there was lots of NOS and underbody lighting going on out there. Scottie
I was there at 7:00 and hung around until around 11 or so. I saw one red 360 and that was it as far as Ferrari's. Did you guys drive your beaters? I even asked a few people "Are you with Ferrarichat??" "Are ya'll the 'squids'?" Oh well, I had a blast racing with a few Teck people and a random NSX owner I met... Oh and my best lap time on Monaco: 19.75!! BOO YAH! I ran a 50-lap race with 9 other people and had an avg. time of 20.52 seconds for the whole race including a 40.77 second pace lap! I had 10 laps in the 19's and all the rest were in the low 20s! I was shocked! But thats because I learned the secret of all secrets for those go-karts Lookin forward to next thursday!
We got divided up there last night with groups running at different times. There were a few Squids there, some got into some trouble for rough driving but thats another story! The 360 in the parking lot was actually a Stradale. BHW
Perhaps we should make a little sign or flag - once we get a logo. For now I could print out a Scuderia Shield. Maybe we could camp out on one of the tables in the lobby - as a central meeting and leaving your "stuff" area. Has anyone ever inquired about getting a room? Scottie
