I find it very difficult to find good used car classified listings from individual owners (not dealers) these days. Has ebay changed everything that much?

I used to love wwwheels.com (where I actually found both my 308 and my TR) but I think they lost the goods when they sold the site to autotrader.

So what sites do you like?

I scan E-Bay, FerrariAds.com, FerrariBuy.com, and FerrariClassified.com. If you want to buy from a dealer "wholesaler" look at exotics4less.com and call to talk to Mark. His dealership in Florida lists many Ferraris at a time. He sells primarily to other dealers but likes to do business with individual buyers, too. You can basically name the price you want to pay, and he'll tell you about a car he would sell you at that price. His turnaround for cars is often so fast, he claims most of his vehicles are never advertised. Hope this helps.

All good sites. Didn't know about the exotics4less.com site, though. Interesting. To these I would add the DuPontRegistry.com, Ferrari Market Letter, and Collector Car Trader.

cars.com is great and tends to have more private sellers than some other sites.

One reason it's good is that most major newspaper online classifieds link to it internally which increases the audience.

    Exotics4less.com is Exotic Cars Wholesale.

I believe I've figured out FerrariClassified.com... I listed my car there back in January of this year. I sold the car 100% due to FerrariAds.com in a week (thank you Rob). I asked FerrariClassified.com to remove my car a couple of times but they never did. Your email or phone never show up when you list there... all requests for info go through the site or into an 800 number where the administrator screens it... this is obviously where he gets a cut of the action as he becomes the mediator.

So bottom line, all the cars listed on FerrariClassified.com are a compilation of cars over a long period of time. This is not necessarily bad but it's pretty misleading IMO. If you contact them showing an interest in a car that was sold a year or two ago, he probably tries to steer you in a different direction.
