    A well-known Silicon Valley CEO client of mine was given a 2002 748S monoposto in grey with red wheels for his birthday a while back (I usually get a tie or book for MY birthday). He is not interested in riding and wants to dump it. It has virtually 0 miles. Hell of deal likely for someone who wants to make an offer. One hitch - the bike is at the guy's ranch in Montana. Let me know if you can think of anyone who might be interested.

    Seriously, for an S with no miles, I would say $10-11k would be a good asking price. However, its marketablilty is reduced due to where it is located. Most people will want to see it in person and Montana would be about the last place I'd want to try and sell a bike. Of the 748 line, it is probably near the top (along with the 748R which may or may not be street legal), so that may help as well.

    18 months ago I was going to buy a Bimota with 1 mile on it sight unseen in Anchorage. The cost of crating and shipping to Missouri was about $1300. You would probably be looking at close to $1000 in crating and shipping to places like Florida, texas, or southern California. For a person to drive 3000 miles round trip in a pickup to get it would probably be ar least that much, plus 4 or 5 days.

    He may be better off to bring it home, he'd probably get more for it.
