    Absolutely agree that an American team would liven things up a bit. While I know a lot of folks sell JG short, I think that could be a bit premature - he has shown great talent on road courses and not bad initial pace in an F1 car. While there may be other contenders, JG would bring his own fan base and sponsors - not a bad thing (after all, this is the entertainment industry). In any event, it might get a whole lot more interesting and really boost American viewership if JG showed up one weekend in a Williams or Honda.
    Interesting discussion.

    Well I had no intention of selling JG short. But in my opinion F1 does not need an American driver that is not like an American superstar with a lot of hype and no delivery. F1 needs an American driver that can actually win. JG is not going to be competitive right off the get go. He will need a lot of time to adapt and understand F1. Young European drivers start this at the age of 15 or 16. Can a person almost twice as old (32 years ... I think) become as good as Button, Trulli or Alonso. Hard to give this in favor of JG.

    I agree with Brian that MS is on a 3 stopper and RB on a 2 ... hopefully, otherwise I'm really worried about RB's pace.

    I also think MS took some fuel out to ensure poll, hence his brilliant time. I also expect that Sato's pre-qualifying time came from almost no fuel. But I give him a pat on the back for still putting the lap together.

    As for Kimi's pace, I think this is the true pace of the McLarens, but they are scared to use it. I expect Kimi to get about 10 laps out of that engine :(

    As stated above the biggest disappointment is the Williams ... pity.

    Williams BMW are the one to blame...
    Both JPM and Ralf did great laps (no mistakes)
    Positive side in qualifying... Ralf had the 3rd best time in sector 3.

    The McLaren cars cannot be worth even thier weight in scrap metal. The look on Kimis and DC's faces was just priceless.

    Meanwhile have JPM to drive a competitive car doe snot pay for the team. He will knock your second driver out and run the rest of the race with no pace. JPM... What a loser! be fore warned Mclaren do you want an idiot like JPM spearheading your rivival next season. having him means certain demise.

    Ferrari 1-2. MS on a 3 stop blinder and Rubens on a 2 stop wonder.
    ABS = Absolute Brawn Strategy!!!
