I'm going to be rebuilding the suspension on my 78' 308, and have sources for all of the urethane bushings that I'll need, including the sway bar end bushings. I can't seem to find the 18mm sway bar frame bushings. Does anyone have a source for the 18mm urethane bushings. Prothane sells a universal bushing that is 11/16" (a little smaller) I'd like to find the exact size. I know that Energy Suspension sells 18mm bushings, but I don't know if they'll fit. Thanks, Jim

Got mine from Ferrari dealer, $30 each. Sometimes you just got to pay the piper.

    Jim,
Yesterday I installed the energy suspension bushings and they are a little tight. This urethane is a really tough material and I don't think the additional "compression" of the bushing wil hurt anything.
Is the upper drop link bushing tapered or are you turning down a cylindrical bushing to fit? I had to turn down the Energy bushing.
If I recal my conversation with the folks ar Energy Suspension, you need .003-.005 smaller hole in the bushing than the sleeve that goes into it. This interference fit provides proper initial compression of the bushing Similarly, you want the bushing to be .005-.007 larger than the bore it is going into.
I am looking forward to getting it on the road to see if the clunking is gone and to see if the claims of increased sway bar effectiveness are true. I also just completed the a arm bushngs, (Energy), and the Koni (stock) bushings, (super tight "press job").
FWIW, Having the A-arms and shock out of the way greatly eases the brake line replacement, additionally, if you are going to order lines from goodrich, I would recommed you get an additional 1/2 to 1 inch longer length because the ss lines are not as flexible near the ends and I had to "adjust" the angle of the metal support tabs to ease the strain on the line at full lock.

    regards,
    chris

I haven't had a chance to get back to this in awhile. Sorry for the late response, and thank you for the helpful advice.
