    Hi chatters,

please post your colour code sticker here with a sample of the colour.
One day we'll have the ulimate colour reference - and any colour speculation will be history :)
First research would go over this thread. So we can get an impression about differences
between original colours even if they shine close together.
Target: Good examples of each Ferrari colour + correct notation + correct colour code + year of the paint.
(consider the sticker as a proof/document, not as a duty)
New questions should be posted and replied here when the thread is filled up a with enough samples.

Here we go to verify the matching:
    http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/COLOR-Search/
If you fill out the colour code field you can get infos about the mixing.
(click on the technology code 55 or 90)

    Examples:
    ---------
    Manufacturer's code: FER
    Colour code: 516
result: 516 BLU LE MANS MICA MET 1993-1996 (my avatar)

    Manufacturer's code: FER
    Colour code: 517
result: 517 AZZURRO HYPERION MET 1993-1996

    fire!

found the grigio ingrid sticker (PGP 720) @eBay for reference:

THX for the great grigio ingrid thread:

@ nzo4re: wow, please post another picture of your blue sera 355!
@ chiaro_slag: I know your plan: collecting each 80's Modell in chiaro blue, hehe .... (amazing garage pic)
@ michael B: I like your prugna garage roll out pic.
@ thecarreaper: good luck with your 308 project. Is there no colour sticker for marrone?
So if the US-bumpers have to go, I would remove the side-reflectors as well and go for the small EURO lamps.
    @ Jack Russell Racing:
"Non original paint, but dang sharp!" Why non original paint?
And yes, black is the best choice for the 348 (or silver).

Nice - that is the color my car is supposed to be according to www.owners.ferrari.com Exact same code 504/C. It is a different blue now.

My sticker says giallo, so you know that isn't right!! My car has had an interesting paint history which I am slowly piecing together. Any thoughts on the current color? Martin at Cavallino advertised the car as blu swaters metallic but I do not know yet. Might have a look at Jet-X's color kit to see if mine matches any of the ones in his kit.

    Great thread though.

    Cheers

At the Challenge races at Infineon in March I parked my Tour de France 360 next to a Blu Le Mans 360 and they appeared almost identical. They were so close I thought perhaps Ferrari just changed the name of the color between 2000 and 2004.

I'm trying to figure out what color is on my car and found this webpage - it is appropos of your thread here. Scroll down a bit and the reds start, then a couple yellow/gold, then the blues (as far as I got).

The confusing thing with colors is that some of the them look exactly alike but have different names because they were made by different companies... Or vice versa... For example, Glasurit's example of Oro Chiaro Metallico is slightly different from Carrozzeria Scaglietti's version of Oro Chiaro Metallico, which is made by Glidden Salchi... On the same token Carrozzeria Scaglietti's Azzurro Dino is the same as Glasurit's Azzurro; differences can become more complicated as you delve into more and more colors and before you know it, you have X amount of different named colors but only a fraction of that amount LOOK different...

The swatches we have here at The Ferrari Market Letter from both Glasurit and Carrozzeria Scaglietti were helpful in compiling the information above... :)
