Rims scratched up, How do I fix'em ?

What is the average cost of their wheel repair? The front wheels off our 2004 A8L got toasted by a curb. Both wheels. Also, one of the rears isn't looking too hot. I'm wondering if, at some point, it makes more sense to upgrade to some hotter rolling stock. Unless the price of repair is low enough, I think I will.

 

If the wheels are true, the cost shouldn't be high at all $75-$150 per wheel depending on finish and complexity of wheel. If they are damaged (pothole), then the costs can increase up to $300 or so depending on what need to be done. The procedure is definitely less expensive than buy new "shoes" for the car though...

 

PLace i used went out of business, cost me $125 per rim though they were both bent

 

Try Autotechnik in Pennington, NJ. Located right on Rte 31. They did my Porsches 996 and my Qv for around $125 (not bent). The match to the other wheels is not to be believed.

 

I have curb-rash from the prior owner. Not gouges, but pretty rough.

I'll be visiting these guys today. They tell me if the wheel is Magnesium, they can't weld them (if they were to need it from gouges)

OK, just got back from USA wheels.
He tells me he does lots of work for the major dealers in the area as well as for a local Ferrari Club (didn't know which one. Hmmmmm) and his father-in-law's Modena.

He said mine don't need any welding, just sanding, coating & clearcoat.
$135 each, $25 tire mounting/balancing each = $160 each. For 5 tires, about 4 days.

 

no bad... where are they out of?

I do not think so. I think Lupe had a local place do it in his area.
