    Hey F308 MAN!

Actually I was in Austin Texas this weekend with an old mate and we were discussing this! He has been over once for the event, and a real bike nut.
I told him of your posts.

I'll send this link to him and maybe he'll pop in, if he can break away from reassembling the Ariel Square 4.

What is that, anyway?????? Thanks for posting.
He has a FJ1200 Yamaha for the heavy stuff

    first four pictures attached
    i) james (#47) on the practice start line.....the riders start all practice and races in pairs at ten second intervals.
    ii) & iii) the bike
iv) team name (don't say it out loud and in front of the kids!)

first practice on saturday evening was a disaster....the forks and rear shock had been to mr xxxxxx (reputable suspension guru) and have come back in the most awful state.
best lap of four was 106 mph average, despite the front end chatter.

    two more:
    viii) manx wildlife collection.
ix) two guys at the top of the practice leaderboard - adrian archibald and bruce anstey.

tuesday evening was again a useful practice session.....adjustments had helped us to a best lap of 110 mph.

wednesday started great....consistent improvement up to the third lap and 112 mph.....then disaster - the fookin motor seized !

BTT What's going on?? Can you swap engines at this point without penalty or will you have to repair/rebuild what you have???

Put your press agent for the team, or the nearest cutie, on the line to give us the play by play!!

    Good Luck!

Thanx speedy......we need, and have sent for, HRC liners, pistons, head gasket, bottom shells, little ends (complete), rings etc.
We shall not be competing in the first race tomorrow (sat), however we are hopeful to be up and running for the 600 cc race on wednesday, and possibly the blue riband event next friday.
    watch this space....

Fantastic racing today !......watched from up on the mountain.....weather perfect.....another pal of mine, david bell, was racing (he has five races in total through the week), and came home 14th - his fastest of four laps was at an average speed of 119.73 mph - this is his first TT.
Winner of the same formula one race was john mcguiness (yamaha R1), who smashed the lap record at over 127 mph.....second adrian archibald, third bruce anstey.
try to post pics after mondays racing.

    David, My friend.

    How have you been keeping?

I've been extremely busy which has been clearly shown by my lack of activity around F-Chat, during the summer months I hope I can scoop up some free time to participate abit more around F-Chat.

Those MVs look stunning! Got to love those four underseat tail pipes.

    Take Care,
