    Bill, i checked 6speedonline.com and checked in the 996 Turbo/GT2 forum, but had no idea which thread it might be... Can you link me...? i also posted this same review on rennlist in the GT2/GT3 forum; i feel like such a cheap, trashy whore for posting on other automotive sites... :(

    Great writeup to both NNO and whart for capturing the essence of the GT2. From what I've read, a pretty high percentage of drivers have gotten into trouble with them and ended up calling the insurance co. Anyone have any comments?

    Bill, a buddy of mine has a stock GT2. And you are right about the pricing. He paid close to $200k for his. If he gets lucky, he might be able to get $140k today.

    It is certainly a screaming machine, but we did a top gear roll on one day versus the Maranello. My buddy in the GT2 had to drop down 2 clicks to spin up the turbos. Me? I just left the car in 6th and stepped into that bottomless pit of torque. Ah, der ain't no subsitute for cubic inches when you are a torque slut.
