I just wanted to let every one know there are a ton of speed traps out today. I noticed about 4 troopers areoun Kirland and Totem Lake around 9:45 this morning on 405.

There where also a group on I-5 between Lynnwood and Everrett.

    Watch out.

I saw a beige/tan Intrepid with no visable markings, lights or plate numbers last week on 520. Watch out for that one.

I don't think they use the radars for aerial recon. I think they time between special markings on the side of the road. Then radio to the ground troups for the strike.

Dana, you can remove your roof to keep your eye on the sky for those eagles.

There was a poll on this chat room that average people drive 10-15 mph above the speed limit

I was driving in a 35 mph zone east of Portland this Sunday, and saw a motorcycle cop backing into a doorway/entryway of a business that was closed on weekends. It was on the outside of a slight bend, so he had good visibility of cars coming from both directions, and it was in a flat parking lot, about 50 feet from the side of the road, with direct access out to the street. It looked like he was going to sit there hiding in the doorway with his radar gun. Unbelievable! I wonder if he had permission to park on private property, or if he cared?

There used to be a motorcycle cop, who wait in a driveway on Bel-Red Road in Redmond, trying to catch people coming down the hill. Haven't seen that set up in a few years. Perhaps the homeowners complained.

LOL...Speaking of irrate homeowners... I just joined the club.

I took it upon myself to install one of those little red safety flags to the top of a 35mph speed limit sign post, which is just around the corner from the bottom of the hill that I live on.

Quite a few times I've been down there getting ready to pull out onto the main road and some idiot will come screaming around the partially blind corner doing 50+.

Since the "flag" has been up, people have slowed it down.

A neighbor a couple blocks a way from me has those funny little plastic neon green facsimile of a small child with backpack, ball cap and neon orange flag, parked next to the street; they say "slow...children", in fact she bought four of them, and when she puts them out, it resembles a small army of kids....

The thing that you have to remember is that a Ferrari is a very low car, and you can really pop a child up in the air if you catch them just right. Of course, real experts compensate for wind velocity, relative humidity, and lead their target to maximum hang time, thereby preventing recontact of the airborne child with the car.

Perhaps the next club event should be some type of group therapy as the violent tendency is surfacing more and more on a regular bases here.......or we can just go to Dave or Kuzi's house for pizza and knitting. :)
