Impressive. It is good to hear that they are expanding. I liked the article as it was pretty informative. As for the average annual income, that was a huge surprise to me but now that I sit down and think about it I guess it could be true.

i am pretty sure the average is 1000 or even less, but that's for nation wide i think, there are remote area where a family makes $10 USD for the whole year so it lowers average.
in shanghai, average income is higher. i think a white colar college graduates can make like $6000 USD to start, which is plenty for a normal lifestyle. although if you hang out in the happening part(where foreign in shanghai frequent), price is not much less than US. in a good western reataurant, meal for 2 can run $200 without wine. drinks, bars, all cost a pretty penny.

Cash Baby, Cash!!! Hence reported income versus actual income is skewed...also wealthy Chinese are adamantly about being private...although owning a Ferrari is a sure give away...hmm.

Waiting for Daphne to get back to me. I spoke to her last week after the event at the ring...I told her that if we did not hear back from here by mid-June we'd buy tix and expect VIP/All Access/Pit Passes. ;-)
