Yes, this company was part of the Rootes group.

Quite sufficiently obscure...handsome car, nice hx. Tailpipe very atypical for the era, vexed me for awhile.

Correct, though I don't think it's a replica as it was entered in 1934 by Singer GB. Although the same drivers entered Le Mans in 1935 as a "Singer Nine Le Mans Replica" so who knows.

BTW Bamford and Martin Limited were Singer agents before Aston Martin was started.

haha, what's with the right front tire? It looks like someone used Microsoft Paint to draw it.

I don't know, is it some old Indy racer?

Yep, I suk @ Paint/PS, needed to remove some identifying data from area in front of car.
Yes, it is an old racer, not necessarily Indy ;)

    Brooklands?

Edit: of which, by the way, there is still some track left which you can walk along after going to the museum there. It's really cool!

Going back to the previous car that Lee posted, the chassis look a lot like a Delage 10 1/2 Litre, but the rest of it doesn't add up

Since nobody else commented much, it is a Paige 6-66.

Since my selections generate dead silence for the most part, Even Al Hirt with his USO Messerschmitt. I give up...must be too old.

    It's not a fuego, that's for sure.
    The taillights look so familiar.
At first i thought it was a modified porsche, but i'm thinking something japanese now.

I'm pretty sure that the last car pictured here (post 216) is a Brazilian Puma GT, powered by a VW flat-4 aircooled engine. One of my parents' neighbors had one of those.
