    I know there isn't too many members from hawaii on here, but how many of you are going to the exotic car show next weekend? I believe it'll be at Blaisdell Center, not sure on the details just yet. I heard there is going to be an F40 and F50 there. I was hoping maybe the Hawaii Enzo would be there too, but I'm not sure.

    Wow, soudns pretty awsome, I didnt realize Hawaii had so many good exotics there, post pics if you get some :)

    It won't be mine...... but I noticed your location says MD. Are you going to be there? If so take some shots. I was born in Hawaii and live in MD that's why your post caught my eye. Maybe I'll move back and ship mine over. (That's the plan.....)

    How much fun can it be to own a Supercar in Hawaii.. You can't really open it up and all you get to do is circle the island all day..

    I rented a 348 spyder in Maui last year. Great to cruise around in but no where to do 100mph.

    F40, F50 and ENZO has no business there.....

    With good weather throughout the year, Hawaii is excellent for year round exotic car driving. Why "no business" for these cars in Hawaii?

    Anyway, I understand the F40 and F50 are visiting Honolulu from the mainland just for the show. Also it will be the first showing in Hawaii of the 612 Scaglietti and Maserati Quattroporte.

    Strange, I can see 120 at the end of the straight-away at HRP.

    The last thing we need here is some tourist driving 100+ on unfamiliar roads..and yes, there are plenty of places on Maui or Oahu or the Big Island to stretch your cars legs...

    i just saw the rosso scuderia CS that is going to be at the show the other day. i was heading to HKGC when i saw it. looks like he just got back from the twisties on the way to the golf course.

    I've lived on Maui for 21 years... there are several places to run 100+++

    One of my favorites is on the way up Haleakala volcano... 30 miles of straights and 180 turns to the 10,000 ft. summit.

    Plus... there are no cops!!

    i heard they're giving away a ferrari at the show, a 360M? i'm not sure if it's rumor or not. not sure how they are planning to do it, but that's a pretty good prize.

    ferrari_kid, I've heard that the one Enzo in Hawaii has been shipped to the mainland.

    As far as ronsupercar's thing about Hawaii not being a great place for exotics, I have to somewhat agree. The year-around weather and scenic drives are great in that regard, but really, there are very few places you can open up a 130mph+ car. I can't think of anywhere on Oahu that's deserted enough. Kauai's out. Maui has a few nice stretches but not THAT many. The Big Isle has some really nice long stretches, but it's all 2-way traffic.

    Maui's got some really beautiful scenic twisties, though. Hana... Haleakala... Still, I would love driving my 308 on the mainland.

    Sure. Maybe we can get all of the local F-chatters to meet somewhere. Would be nice to put some faces to all the names. Any suggestions? Possible drive somewhere? (no f-car, but shotgun is open in the Esprit).

    i got some pretty good pics last night. i'll get them up ASAP.

    i found out Matson damaged the 612 during shipping. it happened when they were unloading the car apparently. as for the F40, that was damaged too. the lady told me they have to remold the entire underbody to fix that one CF part, costing about $30k. the f40 and f50 were both low milage cars though. both had about 300 miles on them. i thought it was pretty sad.
    the 612 doesn't look so bad in person. the pictures didn't really do it justice. it's still an odd looking from end to me. it's something i'll get used to.

    the lambos were nice. it was the first time i saw a gallardo up close. it's a pretty aggressive looking car. i'd rather see it on the road though. the murci's were pretty nice too. funny thing was the f-cars were attracting more attention.

    I've had so many cars screwed up by Matson... the guys on the docks do it on purpose. Chevys and Fords never get a scratch.

    when my dad had his vette shipped by them they scratched the door. then they claimed it was like that before. eventually they paid for it to get fixed.
