    Are there any recommendations on an antenna for a 308 that's fully automatic? I'd like to get rid of the manual control switch and wonder what's the best looking/working antenna to replace my semi-auto with.

    Anyone got experience as to which ones fit & look right?
    It was looking at antennaworld's list of dozens of antennas that got me confused to begin with! Heck, I thought they were all about the same before...!

    well i've got two different mountings.

    My most original one is a black antenna mounted to come out at a rearward angle.

    the other one is chrome and is vertical, and automatic. (not stock)

    They pretty much all will work. Just make sure the one you choose is adjustable for the angle (most all do). Also, I would recommend ordering a completely black one, with black mast and black cap. Check Ebay too, there are some deals there. Expect all these antennas to be made in China, but they seem to work just fine. Had mine for close to two years, works fine.
