20. June 2003 A very sad day. We lost two dear friends, Ferrari drivers & ferrarichatters. Jens Haller: The first european fchatter here and founder of the european section. A very young and enthusiastic Ferrari lover with so much love & passion for Ferrari. He organized the 1. European Fchat meeting in Bonn and at the Nürburgring where the horrible crash happened. I have had the honor & pleasure to meet Jens in Bonn and we talked many times over phone.....I will never forget you my dear friend! Amar Inam: A british gent and also one of the first fchatters here. Sadly, I have never met Amar personal, just spoke to him several times over cell-phone. We have had an appointment in Monte Carlo after the 2003 F1 race but sadly couldn`t find each other in the Coffe-Bar........if only we could roll back the years! On this coming weekend, Sunday 20. June its now 1 year ago, that our friends Jens & Amar died together in their beloved F 360 Modena at a horrible crash on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. R.I.P. we will never forget you! ....please let us remember our lost friends with a moment of silence on Sunday, 20 June between 13:00p.m. 14:00p.m. Wolfgang
I never had the privelege of f-chatting with them but this is very sad none the less and makes you realise we are not immortal in our cars.
Jens and I were close friends. I still miss him ever day. It is amazing how fast a year has passed. They will always be on my mind. Ton
It is indeed a very sad story of two great enthusiasts. I have never had the pleasure of talking to or chatting with any of the two Gents, but I'm convinced that the memory of them and their spirits will live on forever here on Ferrarichat.com My deepest sympathy goes to their families and all of the friends who knew them so well. Although I'm not an F-Chat member long enough to know Jens and Amar personal or via this site, I also would like to express my deepest sympathy and respect to their family and friends... Some time ago I read the story on the old F-Chat archive,... a very sad chapter... May they rest in peace... Alexander and Kelly
I have been thinking about that day for the past month. I still from time to time read the SMS Jens sent me when we were at Spa last year. I cant believe it happened ..I hope they are both in a better place. Miss you ! RIP Jens and Amar. Andrew

I was just thinking about this subject a few weeks ago and was trying to remember when it happened last year. I remembered it was last summer time. I also remember that very sad day on FChat. Even though many of us did not know them personally, we felt a great loss. It was all so very shocking. Previous to the incident, I did also have the pleasure of writing to both guys.
