Just doing some messing around with Photoshop, looking at different options for rims. (Please don't move the thread moderators as I would like all opinions, not just the "classic" readers). :)

I'm putting all the rims I photoshopped (even the ones I don't like). Please vote for your favorite or suggest a better option. Thanks!

    I vote speedline every time.

also, I emailed that guy with the speedlines I mentioned to you.
[email protected] I think. Had to do it via ebay so obscured his actual email, but I am pretty sure that is it.

Thank you! Unfortunately my pick of the speedlines above isn't very good - I couldn't find a good picture of them to chop.

Hate to shoot you down. But I'm a fan of originality.

Edit: I almost forgot, but where did you get the font?

No worries - I respect that opinion also! Can always use the money for a Tubi instead. :) The Tubi will probably happen first actually - The 328's (has a Tubi) exhaust sounding better than the TR just seems strange.

Edit - Paul - Here is a thread regarding the font - Do a search for it on google. The downside is if you use it in say Excel & then send the file to someone, they won't see the font unless they also have it loaded on their machine. But it works nice on pictures. :)

With your car having painted front air dam and the side skirts, it sort of resembles the 512TRs a little. Hence I would pick the 512TR wheels over the others and maintain the classic Ferrari 5-spoke wheels apparence, but that's just me.

With all due respect, I had just replaced the tyres on mine last year with Mich. Pilot Sports, great tyres and they are still available in OEM sizes. I figure as long as there are still top of the line tyres out on the market in the OEM sizes, there is really no reason to change the original package. Unless, of course, you have your heart set on upsizing your wheels/tyres. :)

I agree - I already have the 512TR look.... I am trying to figure out how to tell if my tires are original - If so, I want to replace them ASAP - Does anyone know how to read the date codes that are printed on tires??

Well, what tyres do you have on the car now, are they Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks? If they are, I would think they are stock tyres as they were OEMs and I would probably change them ASAP as they are probably at least over 10 years old. And I agree, I would probably save the wheel money and go Tubi :)

By the way, Costco are having a sale on all Bridge. and Mich. tyres right now, you may want to look into it. Maybe not have them mount the tyres, but at least you save money on the purchase.

From the above, the 512TR. However, and I'll probably be strung up for saying this ;), I saw a photo on here a couple of months back, of a TR on 360 alloys which actually looked really good.

Well, I thought so anyway :).

If they are Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks and are 225/50/16's for the front and 255/50/16's for the rear, then they are probably OEMs.

The 512M's look like a nice step up from the stock ones and are a nice "retro" look that is in keeping with the style of the car.

Here is a pic of the front tire & the original window sticker - Do you think they are the original tires?

Almost half of them are for 512TR, my vote included, and a bunch of others for the 512M. They are original Ferrari rims. It's almost like how they would update to the newer model year in racing - F. did it all the time all those decades ago. It's not really as bad as strapping a spoiler to the back and slapping on some spinners. At least it's authentic to the marque. Also, Slag has the lower part of his car painted a la 512TR, so the wheels would be appropriate to that mod.
