Wake up yall! It's 6:06AM and I have had no sleep what so ever and I have SAT classes in four hours. LETS PARTY!
What does the SAT stand for? Originally, SAT was an acronym for the Scholastic Aptitude Test. In 1993, the test was renamed the SAT I: Reasoning Test. At the same time, the former Achievement Tests were renamed the SAT II: Subject Tests. SAT has become a simple way of referring to the SAT I: Reasoning Test. SAT I The SAT is a three-hour test that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills students have developed over time and skills they need to be successful academically. Many colleges and universities use the SAT as one indicator among others-class rank, high school GPA, extracurricular activities, personal essay, and teacher recommendations-of a student's readiness to do college-level work. SAT scores are compared with the scores of other applicants, and the accepted scores at an institution, and can be used as a basis for awarding merit-based financial aid. The SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800 (for math and verbal) and is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. The test is administered several times a year. http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/about/SATI.html A test that is one of the many factors in deciding what college I get into.

The worst ***in thing in the world, you spend your entire high school career with these damn tests in your mind, teachers are pounding into your mind that if yo dont do well on these tests ur life is over and they say that every thing you are meant to do in life is based around this test and if the outcome is below what the standard is you pretty much should just give up on life and work full time at wal mart or something. thats how i feel about the SAT and damn college applications
Ex-classmate and good friend of mine for the past few years got 1600 for his SAT. He was originally going to go to Oxford, but changed his mind and is now going to Yale to study Chemistry.
