Made a stop at Ferrari of Orange County the other day to take a look at these 2 cars...Enjoy! There was an Aston Martin DB9 at Crystal Cove this weekend, look in the Southern California section for pictures.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw. THANKS, a perfect sunday morning for me, waking up with such great pictures. greetings, vincent.
Hey, is that the Sultan of Brunei's car, or one of the others built? Also did they use a v-8 from the F355 in it? Its such a strange car and i would love to know more about it.
Yesss!!! Thanks Jordan. The 575 looks like a supreme bad ass! Been wanting to go check it out. Pretty cool that the FX was there.
Built for the Sultan...Its based off of a 512M and has the flat 12 cyl. engine in it. Sean, got into the service bay by scaling the outer wall of the building and actually going in through a service vent in the roof. Well...I just asked somebody actually They didnt seem to mind!
Yes it is. When I was at FoOC a few months ago they had both F50s from the Marconi in the service bay as well!
Jordan, thanks a lot for sharing the pictures! I especially like the pictures of the FX, as that is a very special car. And you might know that I'm a Tr/512TR/F512M freak, so that will explain it One small question: was the car at FoOC for service only, or is it going to be for sale or so?? Is it still owned by the Marconi Museum??
I'd like to see a company come out with a GTC-look front bumper for the 550/75; or maybe even a kit for the whole look (external only, with some CF accents for the interior). With 550's depreciating so nicely (for buyers, terribly for owners), I think it would be nice to see some more customizing with them.
Great shots Jordan! About 2 months ago I could of swore I saw a F50 under a car cover in the back warehouse, but when I asked them, they said "No, we havn't had a F50 here in at least 6 months," or something like that. I know that that was a lie, because later when I went back with my dad a couple of weeks ago, one of the service men told us that they get them every now and then and at one time had 2 F50's (which turned out being the Marconi cars). So I guess because I'm only 13, they didn't know I new about these cars and instead told me that they don't have one. I am almost possitive that I saw the F50 under the cover, it had the front hood shape imprent, and the rear spoiler was more rounded, unlike the F40 which is more straight. So I am a little sad I didn't get to see it, and that the guy lied to me, but I know I'll see one some day. -David
Great pictures, very nice cars. The 3rd picture from top shows three pedals, which car this picture was taken? Thanks,
A: the car with the three pedals must be the GTC with sec-box. Prodrive will release a limited numbers of custumer spec "GTC" versions ...road legal
The pedal shot is indeed from the 575 GTC...It is a sequential gearbox but uses a clutch (similar to the 333sp). However, the driver doesnt need to release the gas when changing gears, thats done automatically apparently. Im not sure if the Ferrari FX had a clutch or not...I seriously doubt it.
