    Sounds good to me

Can we try to pick some decent weather though (heating and ventilation not being a T's strongest point!)

How about following the route/direction of the supercar Ferrari's in this months Evo - down near Bala (North Wales). Been there before a few years ago and remember some nice roads. Not sure how far away it is for people (I'm in Warrington).

As for the weather, I think the decision to go will have to be made either the day before or in the morning. An early is more suitable as there is less traffic.

    Thoughts ?

North Wales would be fine but if we are looking for a more central route for most people with decent pubs for lunch then North West Derbyshire to central Derbyshire may be a possibility. Any views?

Am based in East Yorks, but am keen to meet up at some point. A little more central would be good for me! Not too bothered though!

Likewise I'm happy meeting up somewhere in between, more the merrier.

The only roads that spring to mind are the Woodhead Pass and the pub the Cat & Fiddle (highest pub in England ???)

Don't think N Wales is a good idea, the police are the most money grabbing in the country, went to Prestatyn last week and saw a huge traffic police presence, camera vans everywhere, esepcially near bala, I have the photo for speeding there last year!! was only doing 74 (and I still maintain it was safer to overtake a caravan at 74 than be stuck behind it and overtake in the wrong place but you can't argue with some welsh!)

I know Derbyshire pretty well so if its ok with everyone I will think about a meet point, route and watering hole when I get back home this weekend and post it for consideration/comment.

Derbyshire sounds good, I was bought up in Matlock so know the surrounding areas and roads very well. I suggest something that involves Snake Pass, Hope, Castleton and then onto the Ashbourne to Leek road...

or even Snake Pass, Grindleford, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Leek

Both these would being and end near Manchester

...don't forget your Road Angels :)

    - what d'you think?

    Sorry guys

Combining the two runs sounds like the best idea. Maybe the North West could all meet before and then a convoy to meet in the middle.

This Sunday just gone was a perfect day for it (although a little damp in the morning)

Guys, If we combined the North west and north east we can have one big drive out. My Parents at the Jenny Wren Inn in Susworth North Lincolnshire would love to have you guys stop for lunch. The locals would love to see all the cars. The Inn is locaed off the M180.

    Anmy thoughts....

Kenyon - thanks very much for the offer, but if my geography teacher taught me correctly then I think it might be a little bit too far for the NW F Chatters.

Somewhere in between would be suitable - if it's possible.

I am happy to meet in the middle somewhere. We were planning to head for Leeds on the 8/9th....It is about an hour and a bit for me. Is this central enough for the North west guys?

Any other suggestions are welcomed obviously!
