I hope nobody died in that. Unless there was a medical emergency on the boat, I think that the pilot, if he survived, should lose his license. Art
OMG!! I wasn't sure what I was about to see since there were no clues from everybody's posts but that was.... awfull!!! I do hope nobody got hurt!!! Great movie.
It's not the chopper that was weak, it was the pilot! With the drag of the boat in the water, it was probably like trying to pull ten tons (or more). Once the chopper picthed up, that was the point of extreme 'puckerism' in the pilots seat and those imortal words of 'OOOHHHHH ****' before he hit the water was probably dominant! The founder of Levitz Furnature died in a simlar manner in his seaplane. So there was a bit of water in the hull when he attempted to take off....Oooops! All the water went to the tail upon takeoff..SPLAT! Backwards! There are just some plain stupid pilots out there (That I trust Jordan would agree with).
Surely the pilot did not know that he was towing anything, or forgot. It would have worked if he had not gunned it ... idiot! I think modern technology is stuffing up the corrective process of evolution. Pete
