It was inevitable I guess that I would recieve orders to San Antonio, so the world's only caburreted Mondial and I will be moving in late June from DC. Loop 1604 here I come...

I see there is a Ferrari dealership there - is it any good? Are there other good Ferrari specialists in San Antonio? Are there emissions inspections?

    Any and all advice welcome.
Hope to meet some of you this summer.

    best to all

RT, welcome. Yes, the San Antonio dealer is very nice, and very involved in & supportive of the Ferrari Club. No emissions inspections yet in San Antonio, IIRC.

When you get stationed, drop me a private message thru this board, so I can add you to our Hill Country Ferrari Club elail list, for drives, events, etc etc etc.

I'm stationed in San Antonio after having come from DC (Walter Reed) and we love it. What post/base will you be assigned to? And do make sure the A/C works on all your cars as you'll need it year-round! PM me if I can be of any help.

I think we may have met before as I was pretty active with the club when I was there and still go back every few months. Really miss Chuck Wray and the guys at Grand Touring though.

RT, be sure to take Dave up on his offer about the Ferrari Club. From SA, there are many, many great driving roads, unless us poor souls in the Houston area.

    Welcome aboard, DrTax

Thanks so much everyone - I'm going to be at the big AF hospital at Lackland, and will compare my DC commute to driving down from north SA to Lackland.

    Look forward to meeting everyone.
