hey everybody....i got some pics off of auto salon-singen-which by the way is one of the good sites with awesome pics!...i really like the f50 cause theres alot of functionality iin it..like the brake ducts and the simple interior!

1-is the rear the rear "plexi-glass" heat resistant?...

2-does this f50 seem a lil "off the ground?" or is it just how the pic was taken?

Yeah...the gap between the tire and body in the first pic looks a little big...

btw, most of the cars on the site aren't actually in the showroom, they can "source" them.

hydro jacking so you can go over speedbumps and the like. Oh, and obviously the plexiglass over the engine is heat resistant, or they wouldn't put it there... Use common sense.

I noticed the large wheel gap on the black F50 I saw in New Orleans. So the F50 does have the front life like the Enzo and the Lambos? It simply didn't look right jacked up and if it was lifted the owner left it jacked up the owner never lowered it when it was parked on the grass at the contest which I found strange. Either way I like the looks of the car better than the F40 which most will disagree with. Is Kevin Marcus still around? I remember he had one and used to post here somewhat regularly but I haven't seen his name.

Switch on the dash to raise front nose about 50 mm. Speeds below 8 mph only. Lowers with either dash switch or driving above 8 mph.

It looks great indeed... But yes, maybe a little bit lower than usual?

BTW the pic looks like a model picture. HOw did you manage to focus the whole car and the whole ground in front and then so wildky unfocus the back?

I am still around just not finding a whole lot to post to - and even then, it seems that my old acct got killed in the software transition. but grumpiness aside, the f50 does indeed have a little level you can push to make the front (and back) of the car go up/down. Actually, that in itself was one of my draws -- my driveway, while not overly steep, would almost certainly not have an f40 go up (or down).

the suspension automatically lowers itself if it is 'up' when you hit 20 mph.

Euro F40's had adjustable suspension also. You could also buy a kit and fit it on a U.S. car. My car has it. It was one of the reasons I bought the F40 that I did.

It looks to me like it was indeed a real picture as the reflections on the ground seem right, but the background has been blurred using software. Project an imaginary line from the centre of the rear wheel horizontally towards the rear bumper. Where it meets the back edge of the bumper, the immediate transition from blurred to sharp can clearly be seen.

Look at the ground directly in front of the car too - it goes from completely in focus to being fully blurred immediately as you move "backwards" through the image toward the buildings behind.

1- Yes it is. But, there are issues with then cracking. The rear plexi-glass retails in the $6k range and it is a pain to fit. we have done two of them.

2-As rumordude stated, yes, it does have a front susp. lift. This is not a hydro- lift as stated by someone else. There is a "hoister" (term used in the F50 parts book, no really!!) that is a electric motor that moves the front two shocks out to cause the lift.

As far as the F40 system, that is indeed a Hydraulic system, and the part number is not even on FNA's price list anymore.

This almost looks like the F50 rally version!!!
I think it is not normal, i don't know why it is so high but it isn't the picture who's taken.

In the F50 you can adjust the height of the car. (there's a button)
    So its normal..
