Countach. The BB512i is great but its starting to look dated.

Persicope LP400 is a landmark car. But the later Countachs spoiled the clean look of the original.

I'd take a lime green or Orange LP400 Countach.

I had my 88 Countach for 3 years during my 22 years ownership of a BB. No comparison. The Lambo was a bad experience. Except for attracting attention, it was a true disaster in workmanship, functionality and also in performance. I had 3 fires and half a dozen flat-bed receipts in my file when I finally got rid of it. BB was a far superior experience

Depends on the service receipts....a well-sorted, LP 5000S ex-Bob Wallace car will spank a sketchy, grey-market 512bbi. I lean to the Lambo because many 512bbis I've seen have black interiors and route radiator coolant through the transmission tunnel, making the 512bbi interior quite HOT - not good news, since we live and die by good climate control here in South Carolina.

I would pick an early Countach, before the wings and scoops, over a Boxer but Id take a Boxer over the latter Miami Vice bewinged Countach.

I'm with you here. An LP400 was lighter and faster than most of the Countash's that followed. I disliked the wings on the Countash, and I disliked the wheel arch graftings they put on later. The countash started out as THE in you face faster than a speeding bullet supercar and went down hill from there (structural rigidity notwithstanding).

I have been lucky to have the experience to drive both cars long enough to truly form an opinion.
The 512 was a great car, but the Countach I drove was a SUPERB example. Not including build quality, or MX expense, I pick the Countach, hands down. If I had to OWN one, I likely would choose the 512.

Yeah, id say this is tough question for a Ferrari board. I wonder if the results would change on a Lambo board?

I've never been in or driven either, but it is my understnading that the 512 is a much better put together car and it s easier to drive. I have a clip from the british TV show 5th gear that compares the two. The clip is new, not from the time the cars were made. If anyone has some webspace to host it, i'll send it to them or it may be on racingflix.com, but im not sure.

I'd think both forums would be biased, no ? I had both cars side by side for three years. No contest. Lambo was a disaster in almost evry way except in the Ego Department. BB was a wonderful experience.
