Hi all, Anyone have a good source for Bladwin filters? Are they used commonly on some brand of cars? Autozone and O'Reily's did not carry them (or the Fram that fits my car). I am looking for the Baldwin B253. I bought a Ferrari one (for too much) and will put a Baldwin on next time. If someone in Houston knows a dealer please let me know. I am in N Houston near the Woodlands. Thanks in advance, -Mike
Here is where I buy mine: http://www.go2marine.com/productcenters/filters/ I have ordered from them several times.
Baldwin products are used on big diesel trucks. I buy mine from a local Kenworth truck repair place. Find one around you, and ask for the Baldwin catalog. It has oil, and fuel filters, for Ferraris.
http://www.baldwinfilter.com/ Put in your zip and there will be a couple of places in Houston. I know of 2 in New Orleans and when I'm in Hattiesburg, I buy them at Truckpro. Kelly
Truckpro in Houston http://www.truckpro.com/docs/services_and_locations/store_pages/tx_houston.html Sometimes FerrariChat amazes me, he asks the question and in a few minutes we practicaly put a filter in his hand!
It is really the people Mike. It amazes me. And thanks to all replies. Bet I have one on order in 15 min...make that a few on order.
I pass by where Truckpro is every other Monday on my way to an update meeting at Greens bayou. I will be paying them a visit. Thanks a ton.
I go up to Hattiesburg once a week on business. I can get filters for my 2 trucks, but the F car sometimes they have to order it. The B253 filter says it is for a chevy 350 racing motor in the Baldwin part guide. Go figure HUH. Kelly PS just to let you know, I went to Tulane, but Go Tigers.
get yourself an UFI. T Rutlands will work out a good price for you if you buy a few at a time. if you have a friend that has an f car, buy in bulk and save $
Tulane is acceptable except for the occasional weekend where you play LSU. Otherwise, I cheer for you. It is cool to go watch a regular college game in the dome. No beer (sold) at Tiger stadium. Not a soul drinks there...but several fans do.
Geoffrey Ohland at Partsouce (http://www.partsourcenet.com/) highly recommends and sells Baldwin B253 oil filters for front engine F-V12s. He's a great source of vintage Ferrari parts as well. Will
My car is not with me right now, so I can't look. Is the B253 Baldwin oil filter for a 308 2V engine?
I buy my B253's from the local Chevron Wholesale Bulk Dealer for 9.00. They sell lubricants and fuels in bulk including home heating oil. There is a bulk dealer in every major city, usually. DJ
