I think I am correct in saying that Ferraris coachbuilder is Scaglietti, reason why its called the 612 S.....Is that correct? But what does the Stradale bit mean after 360?

    Ant ideas.

I think "road" is a better translation. Street and road really mean the same thing, I just like the way challenge road sounds better. It's the challenge car for the road.

Stradale means something more like "streetable," "roadgoing," or "for the street"... as in streetable 360 challenge, or roadgoing 360 challenge....

    strada is street

FYI. Scaglietti WAS a coachbuilder for Ferrari. For all practical purposes, Pininfarina is the exclusive designer now.

At one point, PF and Scaglietti were both building for Ferrari; although perhaps not in the competitive sense. Some models were designed/sub-assembled by one and built by the other, e.g. Daytona.
