Jimi's take on the new FerrariChat

Last Friday, I left on a bidness trip only to return and find my world displaced. Feeling somewhat discombobulated, I called up the Psychic Hotline and asked brother Jimi what he thought, and here’s what he sang:

One of the great things about Rock 'n Roll in the 60's, besides the great musicians and bands, was that it was a huge tent. It was not as fragmented and splintered as it is today. (In fact, do they still have a Top-40 list?) I can remember laying in my bed holding my transistor radio (all we had was AM) to my ear and listening to James Brown, Jimi, Doors, Sam & Dave, CCR, Motown, Righteous Bros, the Animals, and so forth and so on. Of course, there were also a lot of chewy chewy, sugar sugar, yucky yucky, you are my guppy puppy songs. But as a single driving force that unified a generation, I don't think that we'll ever see that kind of Rock 'n Roll again.
