Those of you in the UK and reading this in real time...GO TO YOUR TV!!! Discovery "Home & Leisure" has a programme on Ferrari. It's called "Dream Machine" and they are following the rebuild of a 308, covering a Ferrari track day at Silverstone and paying a visit to Maranello!! See you later! Cheers, MARK
Aaah! So....this is the car that they gave away in a comprtition after restoring it: http://www.i2itelevision.com/news.php?news_id=1 Cheers, MARK
Hi Mark, got the invitation on Saturday last week over the Ferrari-Club-Deutschland. Same progam, hotel, Presentation, Gala Dinner....a.s.o. but for a much better price;-) Spoke to some friends but nobody was/is able to to take off for a short trip to Maranello;-( So, we will stay at home and watch it on TV. Lonesome poster last night????? Man, I have been online and posting last night till 23:45 (from 07:00a.m. starting)!!! Sadly missed you just for a few minutes;-(((( Whats up with you during the day? No way to post/online in your new office...Big Brother??? We miss you here and I know its boring to post with yourself....the European section is going down since christmas and nobody knows why? I tried everything to force the gents here - but no way. ....permanent online today till 18:00p.m, short break for a business dinner with some customers at NINO, Ristorante Modena and back online later after dinner around 22:00p.m. Hope to CU/catch later in the evening. Cheers Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Hi Wolf, I work for a "global" company...so "Big Brother" is a fact of life in my current environment I'm afraid. Hmmmmmm.....do you need a partner in Plankstadt??? Yup - the Euro listers have given up the fight I'm afraid. So-Cal is biting at our heels and they are Americans! They are clearly applying Iraq "Shock & Awe" tactics - we are an axis of evil and will clearly be eliminated. I wonder how many of them have been to Maranelo? Cheers, MARK HIC-BURP-GOTTA SLEEP!!!
@Mark, you are always very welcome. But its a damn hard job, believe me!!!! 12 hours a day bonkering....can you imagine???? Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Wolfman, just pay me enough and I will spend all day keeping Euro ahead of So-Cal!! I could think of worse jobs!! Cheers, MARK
Mark, I wish I could.....;-( Payment could be done with: Fun, playing guitar the whole day, met some great musicans, discussing guitars & music, attend 3-5 rock-concerts a week with VIP tickets, always some great dinner at NINO, travelling a lots of time to the USA (well you are used in travelling all around the world;-).....a.s.o.
Hey Mark, I've seen it a few times now, great show but 308 turned up to be not so great after all. The wiring was really badly done and the new owners was forced to do it all over. See this tread, the lucky winner also chipped in : http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/174013/325541.html Bart
Hi Bart, Aah yes - Marc Rolf....I did speak with him at some stage as well. I did not know about the wiring. From the TV programme, the original car was in a really bad state - it had also been bashed in the front and right fender. This week I saw the programme (in the same series) on the Cobra. Not my favourite car I must admit. Dsepite the trouble Mark experienced - winning a Ferrari can't be bad. Cheers, MARK
Verrrry tempting, but I think a Germany trip (picking up the car), planned Swiss trip and (what happened to the) Scotland trip might be enough for a few months! Sounds cool though..may have to watch on TV.
@Marc / hedge, Trevi is working/organizng hard on the Swiss trip; I`m, working/organizng on the Bordeaux/France/Red Wine trip and the 2004 Rancing Days.....impossible to me/us to organize another meeting. Marc, its YOUR country and I believe you( a real U.K. dude) know much more about the country, hotels, drive, location...a.s.o. than us;-); please feel free to organize something and sure we will come!!!! Organization needs a lots of time to make it a big event for everybody. Maybe your new U.K. brother Mark can help you a bit? Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Thanks Marc, YOU are the man from the U.K. & used in all kinds of the U.K. specials. What a pleasure for us to follow you somewhere over the hills to Nessie...
