    Others may have better info for you, but I put a set of '85 308 wires on my '79 308. They had much thicker insulation and they were actually cheeper than the '79 set. Very good results, and they are still 'Ferrari'

    I have Taylor 8mm wires on my car, works great, starts every time and runs strong. But if you are choosy, I heard that Magnecor wires are good too.

    I don't know if there is a lot of differences between one wire and the next (seems everyone has a favorite) but many have spoken well of the Magnacore brand, and I know one or two local FCA members who have them on their cars, and found them to work well.

    Here is their website:http://www.magnecor.com/

    If you run a "google" search of "Magnecor wires discount", you will get some on-line sources for them. Not sure if they are really cheaper than buying directly from Magnecor. And if you are in a hurry, they will have to order them anyway....so faster from the source.

    I just received my Magnecor 308 set, called and ordered them straight from the factory. They look good - I'll be installing them this weekend hopefully, and will let you know how everything works.

    Some have said the 8mm wires can be made to fit if you carefully trim down the jacket before inserting into the disitributor cap...

    Mine is a '79 carb 308, so I ordered set #87227, it was $112.41

    They either had a set pre-made, or they made it that day.

    NAPA sells 7mm bulk wire and all the spark plug /distributor connectors, and boots. Buy a wire crimper. The 7mm will slide in your red jackets.
    Your whole set including crimper will cost less than 65$
    Used the solid wire core on my boxer.

    Would Magnacore wires work with an injected Ferrari w the Digiplex unit? I've heard that one has to be careful re ignition wires with theses models--is ithis myth or fact? It would be great if one could safely imo.

    I made my own with Accell kit from Pep Boys. 8mm and no need to shave the ends; they fit perfectly but use a little vaselline or silicone to slip them in the distributor.
    All the goodies come with the kit and there is more that enough wire to complete the job.
    $ 30

    Bob, what brand and size plug wires did you use on your Boxer? I am upgrading to an MSD ignition on my BB512i and want to upgrade the wires at the same time.
